Amy qualified as a medical doctor in Edinburgh UK in 2003. Her postgraduate hospital training posts were in Scotland and northern England. Following studies for the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene she continued her training at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi.  She passed the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2008 whilst completing her hospital posts and then moved on to train in General Practice in the north of Scotland and Edinburgh. During this time she had the experience of working both in remote and rural settings and inner city practices.

She was awarded Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2010.   Before moving with her family to Luxembourg, Amy worked as a general practitioner at St Triduana’s Medical Practice, a busy family practice in Edinburgh. She enjoys the diversity of general practice and the opportunities for personal and holistic care of individuals and families.
Amy has two young children. She loves music, walking and exploring Luxembourg and the region with her family.
